Fantastic summary of Tizi's amazing life. I met her when she was a despatch rider in London for Mercury Despatch, in 1974. I was talking about her today, on a Zoom call with a bunch of ex-Mercury guys who, amazingly, are still alive. In 1974 Tizi had a fire-breathing Kawasaki 750 triple 2-stroke and I'll never forget her dumping a guy in the middle of the road when she popped a wheelie as she pulled away. We'd been at a party and he'd been bugging her to give him a ride! I was amazed when she hit the headlines with the daft lost letter story. Decades later I also met Gerry Gooch, the guy whose display team she rode for. Tizi has a lot in common with my still-beloved ex, the amazing Elspeth Beard, the first British woman to ride a motorcycle around the world in 1982-1984. She also has a book: Lone Rider. Google her! Hi Paul, thanks for the Tizi anecdotes, and for the recommend. I'll definitely check out Elspeth's book. I could use a good read right about now, from someone in the Tizi vein of living LIFE. Best, Pete
